 Responsibilities
-
Deployment and management of the Commission robust and scalable network infrastructure built on Cisco platform with a horizontal cat-6 cabling and vertical fibre optic technology. -
Manages the Commission’s internet service facilities deployed on fibre optic with 2-4m dish VSAT redundancy -
Project manager NPC website/ workflow solution and online service project. -
Initiate Business Process Re-engineering for non critical processes of the commission for online services deployment -
Management of the commission mini data centre comprising of 3Nos 40kva 3 phased APC UPS, 5KVA inverter, 150kVA sine wave AVR, Servers and internet modems. -
Advice the Commission on the imperative of Business Process Re-engineering and e-government strategies and also a member of the Presidential Committee on the Development of Master plan and Road map for the Implementation of IT for National Development. -
Manage and maintains the Commission’s desktops, internet and network infrastructure which include VOIP phones and services. -
Supervise and administer the implementation of the Commission’s Web portal
- Senior Network Administrator Technical Services Department National Information Technology Development Agency, 2006 – Dec 2008 Developed criteria for the selection of project managers for Integrated Payroll and Personnel System (a world bank assisted project)
- Evaluated of the bid proposal and selection of project managers for IPPIS
- Monitor the implementation of the IPPIS project; ensure that the deployment of network infrastructure is in accordance with specification and present reports
- Prepared the maintenance strategy for the network IPPIS infrastructure and the data centre.
- Engaged in the change management process and training of staff for the IPPIS project
- Developed an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) RFP (Request for Financial Proposal) document for National Planning Commission
- Developed standards for online payment and prepares Terms of References (TOR) for various projects in my agency
- Supervise the deployment and management of a large complex network (Public Service Network (PSNET)
- Developed standards for engaging Internet Service Providers
- Project Team Lead for the deployment of Rural Information Technology Centres (RITC)

Minister/Deputy Chairman, National Planning Commission, Dr Shamsuddeen Usman, CON, has on Thursday, April 25th, 2013, on behalf of the Federal Government, signed a memorandum of Understanding (M0U) for the implementation of the 10th European Development Fund (EDF), support for Water supply and Sanitation Sector Reform programme in Nigeria. The 10th EDF, is a phase ii programme for six focal states in Nigeria, namely; Anambra, Cross River, Jigawa, Kano, Osun and Yobe.
