 The inauguration of the committee which was in compliance with the requirement of the inter-ministerial implementation committee on FoI was chaired by the Secretary to the Commission, Ntufam Fidel Ugbo, Esq.
All MDAs were required to establish an in-house implementation committee to ensure proper implementation of the freedom of information Act, 2011 as was accented to on the 28th of May 2011 by Mr. President, Commander-in-Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Minister/Deputy Chairman, National Planning Commission, Dr Shamsuddeen Usman, CON, has on Thursday, April 25th, 2013, on behalf of the Federal Government, signed a memorandum of Understanding (M0U) for the implementation of the 10th European Development Fund (EDF), support for Water supply and Sanitation Sector Reform programme in Nigeria. The 10th EDF, is a phase ii programme for six focal states in Nigeria, namely; Anambra, Cross River, Jigawa, Kano, Osun and Yobe.
